Delacroix's 19th century masterpiece depicts what is though to be the first time that a woman used her breasts to gain military advantage. In Paris during the July Revolution of the 1830's. A young French fighting girl by the name of Libertey fought bare breasted against the Kings soldiers. Distracting them for long enough for her to shoot them in the head and the penis.

So successful was this technique that she designed and fashioned a set of poision dart guns that attached to her bosom whilst fighting.
